There are several different thoughts on the paranormal or supernatural. Some believe, some don’t, but the fact remains that these types of movies and books are everywhere. Vampires, werewolves and other creatures that have withstood the test of time are running amuck. I am a Twilight and Vampire Diaries fan, but there is only so much that I can handle without being bored and irritated that the wheel keeps turning with only slightly different ideas.
That being said I’m rather intrigued by the spiritual or supernatural. As my writing grows and I continue to learn more about my style and interests it continues to lean towards that arena.
I had an interesting conversation this weekend and plan to incorporate it into the novel I’m writing. The idea suggests that God and Angels speak a different language. One theory offered is the Enochian. This is a name often applied to an occult or angelic language recorded in the journals of John Dee and Edward Kelley in the 16th-century.
Let me catch you up a bit. My novel contains a book of shadows passed down through generations. Connor (a main character) stumbles across it and asks his previous history professor if he’ll help decipher the language. Good ol’ Ben with his wide array of studies is familiar with the the letters and symbols.
An excerpt from my novel “The Inner Circle” where Ben is explaining to Conner what the book is about:
“Through my years of studying different religions including Wicca, occults, satanism, witchcraft and so on, this is serious stuff man. It’s dark, evil. Studying is one thing, but this isn’t something I’d be around.” Ben said.
I can’t explain what researching this information is like. It’s a ride full of twists and turns.
Until next time….
