It was a chilly 25 degrees yesterday morning. Our first snow flurries landed this past Friday. Fall’s magnificent this year with the change of leaves radiating reds and yellows street after street. It takes my breath away.
I’ve talked to a fellow writer, and admitted I felt a twinge of jealousy since she knew what her niche was. Dena writes awesome pieces on history and travel and her novel fits into the historical/action genre. She knows what she loves and writes it well. I have not found my niche for my blog. I’m writing a paranormal suspense novel, but I am careful blogging on that subject alone. Researching led me to some very interesting websites and people’s views which I don’t support and wouldn’t be interested in fielding comments from them.
So off I go to discover this vital information. I took some personality tests, asked myself what I like to do, what are my strengths and weaknesses. I found in asking the question “What is my niche?” that I’m struggling to find out who I am again. I know a lot of things about myself, but I’ve never had to narrow it down. I’ve changed over the past few years, my goals have changed and my environment has changed. However, one thing remains constant. I care about people and I want to help them. I want to encourage them to grow, tackle issues and empower them. Unfortunately, there are times that I want it for them more than they do, and I have to support them as they travel their own journey of discovery.
For now I’ll continue to post and search for my answer. If you have struggled with that question or “Who am I?” Let me know what has worked for you. I’m all ears.
Until Next Time…
