So, I’m all giddy with excitement. I will apologize in advance for blogging twice today, but I had to share.
Several months ago I had blogged concerning the top websites, people and classes that had helped me grow as a writer. I’d mentioned Karyln Thayer and her services that I’d used for a short story. She was wonderful, very positive even while she was giving me fixes and feedback. I recommended her, and just in case you missed it, here is her website: http://www.constructivecritiques.com/
After working with the story a few times I submitted it for publication. As any writer knows, it takes a while to hear back. I tried not to think about it, but as the end of February, beginning of March rolled in I followed up with an email. I had assumed I hadn’t been chosen. It’s an annual literary magazine called Chinook, and they stated on their site that due to high submissions they looked at people in Colorado first.
I came home after a busy day of work, checked my email…and they accepted my story! I am published! I’m so excited!
Dena, Gabe and Rick. Thank you for your help and support. You guys are awesome! All your input and support means the world to me.
Until Next Time…
