I’m surprised many sites I visit don’t have a twitter button. I’m always looking for good posts to tweet. Tweeting a post for someone can do a couple of things for the writer.
- Tweets are a marketing tool
- Obtain active followers
I’ve recently began studying more about freelancing, an appropriate professional website, and other tools to help promote services. Did you know the number of tweets your post is shared, can help land a new writing gig? Once a new client sees the amount of people who took a moment to tweet your post due to good content, you have their attention.
Most of you know about the next benefit. However, an active follower is what we are all interested in. When someone tweets your post, all their followers have access to your site, and hopefully some of them will follow and tweet for you as well. Again, this is also about building relationships. Find people who you can learn from on twitter, begin following and tweet their posts. I think so many of us look at social media as a growth platform for ourselves, but it’s a bigger circle. Once we begin this process for others, they often return the favor. You are having a part in helping them.
Until Next Time…
