I loved this t-shirt so much my husband bought it for me. What’s your superpower?

I'm a writer

“No one has the power to shatter your dreams unless you give it to them.” ― Maeve Greyson

“If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality.” Roopleen

“You may be the only person left who believes in you, but it’s enough. It takes just one star to pierce a universe of darkness. Never give up.” ― Richelle E. Goodrich

“One of the most powerful lessons in life is to recognize that no one can give you power, and many people don’t want you to have it. You have to find the courage to seize it, own it and hold on!”― Shannon L. Alder

“You will never know how much you can accomplish until you try. Never stop trying. Your miracle will come in undefined moments.” ― Lailah GiftyAkita

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there” ― Theodore Roosevelt

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” – Thomas A. Edison

I’ve mentioned before that I subscribe to Claire De Boer’s website thegiftofwriting.com, and I wanted to share a few quotes she had on her site today. She has a tendency to find the ones that zing right into my gut, explode and resonate inside of me for days. That’s one reason I share them with all of you, hoping that they will stir your creativity, courage and connect us all as human beings that often share the same emotions about life and our writing.

Other than raising my kids, I think writing is the hardest thing I do. Even when I have great days, and the words are rushing out, the next few days are full of…nothing. I get stuck on how to move my plot forward without losing readers. Is it dramatic enough? What are my plot points? Is my main character growing? So, sometimes I take a deep calming breath and read quotes that reignite my tiny flame into a full fire again.
