I live in the beautiful Northwest with my husband and children.
I’m a published author of short stories, a freelance writer, and some day will attempt a novel. One thing I’ve learned, is that the craft of writing is an ongoing project. If I’d realized that when I started, I wonder if I would have continued. Now, I can’t stop. It’s as much a part of who I am as the air I breathe.
I’m also an avid reader of thrillers, some romance, and young adult novels. I love music, movies and pop tarts. What can I say?
My perfect evening during summer time, is snuggling with my hubby outside under the stars. If it’s winter, listening to the rain fall, building a fire, and watching NFL. Go Cowboys! Oh yes, I’m a southern girl at heart!
Feel free to contact me at jenowenby@live.com
Thank you for visiting, and please stop by again.
I’m also a northwesterner who loves the rain. With no reason to go outside for months, what’s left to do but write. I have no idea why I wasn’t following you. I thought I was, but noticed the follow button…anyway, now I am. π
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me by answering my parenting survey, if you have a spare time and if it’s okay with you. It doesn’t have a deadline, you can take all the time you need to answer it. π

I like your writing and can only encourage you to write that novel! It gives a great feeling of satisfaction when it is complete. My debut novel will be out in a couple of weeks (just as soon as I can finish getting it formatted for e-readers). I hope you will like it

Hi Jen, I love your blog and have signed in to follow you. It was funny as I was reading your most recent post regarding your anniversary, it was like reading my life written by someone else. I too have an anniversay in two weeks with a wonderful man who, like your husband is my partner, lover, best friend, my rock, and is truly an amazing human being. It is nive to know that there are still a few good men left in this world and woman do have a choice to leave. It is imparative they do so. My exes were both horrible, and I thank God, that I didn’t marry the second one. I count my blessings, but it took a lot of toads to find my prince. And I look back now and it seems like eons ago. I remained single believing I would be forever, and I was okay with that. Then I met the man who would be my hussband. Cheers to finding the strength to move on and forward.
Cheers to us and good honorable men! Thank you for sharing! I like you already π
I just visited your photography, are you in Oregon??
Had me worried there for a minute. lol, glad it worked out and I hope you have a wonderful day too. : )

Thanks! I’ll eventually begin to work on an outline. Did you outline?
Jen,
Love the site, save for one point. I’ve lived in Dallas for many years, and I still hate the Cowboys π My late sister was an avid fan of the team though … so I guess you have good tastes.
Will spend more time here next week.
Wayne
LOL! That’s funny. They are my favorite team, but I won’t hold that against you. π Do you like other teams? Thanks for visiting and sharing Wayne.
